Just a bit of catch up!

Wow, I can't believe its already 2009. That means...yikes...I turn 30 in just 3 weeks! Although I am refusing to turn 30, I'm sticking to 29 at least until Aspen turns 29! ;-)

Anyway, I just am going to do a quick catch up here while I have a few minutes. Christmas was fantastic. Me and the girls spent almost 2 weeks with my family in Western WA - they had crazy amounts of snow for that area and so we didn't really venture much farther than Washougal since I would've had to have driven my mom's little Honda....and I'm not too keen on driving in the snow without at least the option of 4WD! So we didn't get to see half the people we had planned on seeing - sorry guys! :( Randy & Teresa came out to get us with Abby, Tanner and Scott - it was so nice of them to come get us! :) Then we just hung out most of the time I was there.

Malo ended up coming out on the 23rd (Happy Birthday Aeranee!!!) and it was so wonderful to be back with him. I know it was only 9 days away from him, but I really like my hubby and like to be around him. :) I was a bit worried about him coming because of the weather - Spokane got more than 30 inches of snow! But he was fine. We had a really wonderful Christmas - it was fun to be around so many kiddos on Christmas Day. We have the best nieces and nephews! :) Aspen and Mia had a great time with their cousins, grandma and Aunt Teresa & Uncle Randy. Mia really REALLY liked Tanner's attention. :)

The day after Christmas we went up to Leif & Lurlyn's place in Woodland for some Hasselblad fun. We got stuck in the snow. A lot. If anyone wants to know that whole story, call or email me and I'll share it with you. Other than that, it was a lot of fun, though it was cut shorter than planned. The 27th was Diane's birthday and so we were able to spend some time with her on her big 5-0. Lurlyn cooked some awesome tasty food! :) And as always, it is such a blast to be with those guys!!!

Oh, here's a fun story, too. Again, if you want more details on this one, I'll fill you in. But I'm just trying to do a quick catch up so I can start 2009 off right (as in, caught up!). I was driving the truck with the girls running some errands and I heard a weird noise, like sometime was hitting one of the tires and it was pretty loud. So I called Malo at work and asked him about it and he told me to make sure there wasn't ice or plastic or anything - there wasn't. So he said just to be careful. So I was - I drove really slow (not more than 25mph)and long story short, the entire wheel fell of while I was driving! In the middle of an intersection! On one of the busiest roads in town! And Malo was at work! I had to get the truck towed, 6+ hours later, with two tired and extremely hungry babies, we left the 4th place we stopped to get it driveable again. The poor tow truck driver seriously took us 4 places. Anyway, that was the worst day I've had in a very long time.

I think that's it!

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry about the truck. That is awful. Those are the stories you tell to your children and grandchildren. ("Well when I was a young mother ...")Ü.

WOW! That must have been AWEFUL!!! I'm glad you had the chance to spend time with your family, I'm really sad we weren't able to make it and get the girls together!

Oh, that really sucks! Hopefully you will never have a day like that again!

Wow, I didn't read that before we talked today or else I would have asked for the WHOLE story! Sounds like quite the adventure.
