Meet Baby Garrett...

AND.....my brother and sister-in-law had baby #6 on Dec 19th, but I just got some pictures! They named him Garrett Glen and he looks adorable! He weighed in at 9 lbs, 1 oz....big baby! But he has lots of red hair (all his kids but 1 have red hair...) and we can't wait to meet him! Although it will likely not be until this summer....but we can't wait!!! Here is a picture of all the kids, minus Scott. I don't know where Scott was.....

Melanie, Dustin and Damen

My oldest friend (since we were 4 years old) and her hubby and son were just here for a couple of days. It was so great to see them. Melanie and Dustin's son, Damen is so cute and a sweet little guy. :) Here are a couple pics from their visit.

So I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for Aspen to sit up on her own for more than like 2 seconds at a time for a looooong time now....and the last few days, she has been doing it!!! YAY! Here are a couple pics from the last couple days of her looking like a big girl!! (Of course, when she's tired, she just falls straight back! But then she laughs because she thinks its fun...especially when daddy's around...you should hear the laughter come out of this little one!!!)

Family in town!

Last weekend Aspen got to see her Aunt Lurlyn and Uncle Leif again....and got to meet her adorable new cousin, Leif! It was so great to have them in town for the weekend and Aspen loved little Leify. She was so cute with him; she kept trying to steal his pacifier from him; she actually got it out of his mouth and into hers super fast! She also would just prop herself up and look at him, and she loved to hold his hand. So here are some pics (thanks Lurlyn...I stole the binky pics of your page!): p.s. Her 2nd tooth came through last weekend, too!

My baby girl is growing up way too fast! Her first tooth finally poked through today (she's been working on it for awhile now). Its a bottom tooth and just barely poking through, but you can sure feel the sharp little razor-like thing! :)

I should probably mention...

...that I'm pregnant. :) That's all!

Body Clock....

So no one tells the babies that the time has changed. My little one has gotten up at 5am the last two days...and I tell her it is not time to get up yet and she just looks up at me and laughs (seriously!). I hope her little body clock will start to match the time clock real soon....cuz 5am comes awful early and I can never go back to sleep once I get up in the morning. And that makes for 1 tired mommy! :) This is what I want her to still be doing at 5am:

Here is Aspen and her daddy in her cute little turtle costume. My niece, Abby asked me what Aspen was going to be for Halloween and I told her a turtle and she says, "Oh Aunt Yvonne, you picked that out for her yourself, didn't you?" Yes, Abby, indeed I did. She made me laugh. I really miss my nieces and nephews; they are all in WA.

Haircuts!

So I have been sick of my hair for awhile and last night I decided to go ahead and cut it. So...I took a nice pair of scrapbooking scissors and cut 7 inches off my hair! And boy was it ugly and uneven. Malo loves my hair long so he said since I chopped mine, he was going to shave his....so he grabbed his beard trimmers and a pair of scissors and went to work! Funny thing is....his beard trimmers ran out of juice....and when I went to bed, THIS is what Malo looked like....hahahahaha!!!

Sad Jeep Sighting...

So I was driving behind my old Jeep last night. It was sad. There was an old guy driving it. I was sad. I know it was mine because it still had the scratch on the side that a friend accidentally scratched up on the Jeep. I should get over missing my little Jeep, but I can't when we are living in the same town and there is a chance I will see her again just driving along minding my own business. Sad. Sad. Sad.

Our little snow bunny!!! :-)

So we woke up this morning to the first snow of the season....and I was super excited to get some pictures of Aspen enjoying her first snow with her little bunny hat! Malo and I LOVE snow....and all the activities that go along with it, so we were SO HAPPY that Aspen seemed to really enjoy the snow...and she giggled when the snowflakes fell on her little nose.....here she is with Daddy ready to head outside!!!You can barely tell its snowing in this picture, but I wanted a picture with the AUTUMN leaves! Its crazy to have snow in October...but it seems like every year it snows in October. Crazy Colorado! :)

This picture is especially sweet for me because when Malo and I first started dating, he would always open up his jacket (it was wintertime) and I'd snuggle up inside his jacket with him and hug and then he'd wrap the coat around us both....so when he did that with Aspen, it was just so sweet.

I just wanted to share some pictures of Aspen. Apparently Malo has been trying to get Aspen to hold her bottle when he feeds her (I had no idea) and today she did it! I was cooking dinner and I hear Malo yell, "Squirty, come look at wee-wee" and there she is sitting on his lap holding her own bottle. So of course I grab the camera to take a picture....why? Because I am a dork! :)
Just another angle. She didn't hold onto it for a real long time, like maybe 2 minutes. But hey, I didn't even know she could even think about doing it. Props to daddy for helping her do stuff! :) This is the best book, "Guess how much I love you." And I found this HUGE book a couple days after we found out about Aspen....and I HAD to get it. And she really enjoys being read to...and she rolls all over the place and rolled onto this book herself...looks like she's analyzing the book....and see how intent she looks? She's the best! :)

Leify is here!

Aspen has a new cousin as of today! :-) Little Leify looks just like his daddy, Leif (Malo's youngest brother)! :-) We'll get to meet them in a little over a month when Leif, Lurlyn and Baby Leif come out to visit!!! Welcome to the world!!! :-)

So happy

Aspen is such a happy wonderful little girl! There were several pictures I was trying to post, but for some reason, this is the only one that took. I'll try again another day. We are so blessed to have her in our family; she is such a joy. She is so happy and loving and snuggly. I can't imagine our lives without her, I don't know how we were even happy before she came along. She is absolutely the best!!! :-)
