My birthday was Friday, the 23rd. I am now officially old. I turned the big 3-0 in reality, but truthfully this is the last time I am admitting that. I am sticking with 29. I know, I know, I KNOW that 30 is just a number, you're only as old as you feel, blah, blah, blah. Yes, 30 IS a number....a really LARGE number that I have no interest in embracing. And if I'm only as old as I feel....well, I haven't had a good night's sleep (or even longer than a 4 hour stretch at once) in well over a year and it doesn't look like its going to happen anytime soon - so if I go by that....man I'm well into my nineties! ;-) But, the good news is that I had a great birthday. My mom came out for my birthday with Teresa and her 6 kiddos...RAndy had to work so he didn't come, which was sad for me since he's my FAVORITE brother! :) But it was really fun to have them here for the weekend. Its so stinking cold here, I don't think it got above 27 this weekend, so our outside time was limited. But we went down to Riverfront Park and played on the giant wagon slide and then fed the ducks. Its really the ONLY thing I know of to do around here. I hear that there is TONS of stuff to do, but its been so cold and there is SO much snow that we haven't ventured out too much yet. Malo decorated my birthday cake for me and seriously put 30 candles on it. For his 30th, I was KIND and put the number 3 and number 0 on his so he only had to blow out 2....but I had to blow out THIRTY!!!! And the quote from the day was from Scott, "THERE ARE A MILLION CANDLES ON THERE!!!" Thanks buddy, thanks! :)

AND....I my family went together and got me a new camera the Canon 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera, EOS Rebel XS!

YAY!!!! So watch for better pictures!!! I was so excited about it! And awesome Aeranee gave me a gift card to the OLIVE GARDEN -yummy!- and the movie theater and a coupon for a free night of babysitting! So the hubby and I are going to have a date! Wa-hoo! Anyway, it was a good day and I'm happy with where my life is right now. So yay for birthdays! And here are some pics with my new camera! I can't wait to play around with it!!!

Happy Birthday Yvonne! I turn twenty-eight this year and I'm so not happy about it. I remember being little and fantasizing about being nineteen or twenty-one. Never about being twenty-eight. Oh well...
P.S. Mikey wakes up every morning and cries (seriously cries) for "CHEESE!" I thought you would be so proud.
Wow, what a gift! That's what I want for my birthday, too! I am glad that you had such a great day-I am wondering how to handle the big 3-0 as well. I am trying to embrace it as much as possible, but it's THIRTY! Ahhhhh! At least we are thirty together, Yvee. I love you! Your package is on its way! =)
How Cool! Looks like you had a great birthday! We need to come and visit you guys soon!!
30 was hard for me and the whole day when I talked to people, they all said "30 isn't a big deal" and finally when my older brother called, he said, "30 really is a big deal" I was like THANK YOU! so it's ok to let it be a big deal, but I just turned 35, so there are still bigger fish to fry! Hope you had a great day!
Happy late Birthday Yvonne! I love your new camera!!! ;) Your going to have some fun with that! The above pictures of Mia crawling are adorable!
