Sad, tired baby :(

For anyone who has met my amazing Aspen, you know that she is an incredibly happy, easy going, laid back HAPPY baby...but the poor girl the last few days has been so sad. She hasn't been sleeping at all during the day and has been wanting to be held or talked to all through the day since Monday. If I'm not holding her and/or talking to her, she is crying (even carrying her in a snugli doesn't work.) I have felt so badly for her; she even has been crying when she's asleep....so I finally called the dr today and they wanted her to come in, (even the nurse said, "I can't believe she's fussy, Aspen is the happiest baby I know) and she has some inflammation in her ear and they think that is what is causing her to be so sad. So they gave her some meds and now she is finally sleeping! Poor girl.

My dogs!

So my dogs are so great....a silly thing to write about, I know. But they really are; they are good tempered and just sweet. They kept me such wonderful company while Malo was gone and now they are loving Aspen, too.

I just love this picture....its so typical of my Daisy...she just wants to be loved and to be pet. She wasn't too sure about Aspen in the beginning, but now they're getting to be great friends! :-)

Buddy likes to try to get Aspen to play with him and he'll come and drop his little toys down near her and just looks at her **waiting** for her to play with him. And when she is sad or crying, he seems to think that playing fetch will make her feel better, so he'll drop the toys near her again....like he's saying "playing makes ME feel better, I know it will help you, too!" Its so sweet!

Two month checkup!

Aspen had her two month checkup yesterday....and she is growing so fast! Its so great and so sad at the same time!! But she weighed in at 10 lbs, 14 oz and is 23 3/4 inches long! I still maintain that she will likely be taller than me by the time she is 2 years old! :-)

So I've decided we can totally do this blog thing! I've been inspired by some friends who are equally as technologically challenged as myself and they are here....so we're going to give it a whirl!
Mostly to update people on our little Aspen, who was born on June 12, 2007 @8:35pm. 7 lbs, 5 oz and 20 1/4 inches long. She is the greatest little one....and makes our lives more complete, more happy, more....more of everything.....she is such a miracle and blessing and we thank our Heavenly Father every day for her and for the way she found her way into our home, our life, our family. She is so amazing and I spend WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much time just looking at her when I should be doing other things....but she is just so great. Her little personality is really starting to shine and she is a happy little girl...smiles so easily and often....she already has her daddy wrapped around her little finger....
Anyway, check back often and I'll attempt to keep this up to date!
