6 months old!

Wow, our sweet little boy is already 6 months old. Why does the time go so quickly?? I took him to his well baby check a couple days ago and his official weight is 20 lbs, 6 oz and he is 27.75 inches long. So he is now about 1/2 lb lighter than Mia. He is a big chunk of a baby and I LOVE it! He's got rolls galore and they are so cute. He's pretty tall, too, in the 85th percentile for height.
Isaac is a sweet, sweet baby. I adore him. He is my little snuggle bug and I love to hold him close and kiss his fat cheeks and listen to his belly laughs. He has a super cute laugh and his smile lights up my world. His mouth takes up half his face and it makes me happy. He is so observant and loves to sit (which by the way, he is a PRO at sitting!) and watch his silly sisters and the crazy dog and all their antics. He lights up when the girls talk to him. When he is sad, Aspen sings "I am a Child of God" to him and it almost always calms him. Mia loves to give him hugs and kisses. He LOVES Daddy (it would be odd at this point or one of my kids not to be daddy's kids.) We are all completely enthralled with this little munchkin.

He LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES to jump. He probably would spend all day in his jumperoo if I'd let him. He jumps when we hold him, he is going to be an active kiddo, I can tell. He's also getting up on all fours and trying to crawl. Thankfully he hasn't figured it out yet. But he can scoot around and roll around and get where he wants to go. Sometimes he scoots under the barstool and can't get out. He also enjoys pulling hair, grabbing food or anything at all within his reach. Love him.

A few days ago he started saying "DADA" and now doesn't stop. Its SO cute. He gets really excited about all the attention he gets from it. Especially from Mia, whenever he says it she'll say "You say DADA Isaac!" in her cute little voice and then he gets more excited and says it LOUDER and HIGHER. I love my kids.

Anyway, just wanted to give a quick report of Mr. Isaac and his sweetness. :)

ITS A BOY!

Meet the newest member of our family, Lucky Castle Hasselblad. (hahaha! betcha thought i was going to announce we're having another baby! hehe. nope!)
Lucky is a black lab/aussie mix and the sweetest little puppy. We weren't going to get a puppy....we were just going to LOOK at some, but when I picked him up, I caved. And the girls were SO excited...and Malo was so excited...I mean, how could I NOT agree?!?!

The first couple nights were rough; it was like having a newborn all over again, up with him every 2 hours. Anyway, he's adjusting well and working on getting housebroken. The girls LOVE him; he's Aspen's snuggle buddy, he chases Mia around while she squeals with delight, and he thinks Isaac is one of his own. All in all, he's great. Even though its MORE work for mommy, but its hard to resist those brown puppy eyes. :)

 

Daddy's little helper

Aspen loves helping Malo with EVERYTHING. Mowing the lawn, building shelves, changing the oil, doesn't really matter what it is, she wants to help him. And one of the things I love the most about him is that he lets her help. And makes her feel like she really is a big helper, even when it tacks extra time onto his project. I like him a lot.

8 years

8 years ago today I married a really cute boy, ready to spend forever with him. I had no idea that I could ever love him more than I did that day. But I'm happy to say that after 8 years and 3 kids, I love him more than I ever imagined I could. Happy Anniversary to the most wonderful husband and daddy there is. I love you, Malo! :)

So the best part about going to Costco apparently is a new bed for Mia...for free! Haha. :)

4th of July and 4 months old

We had a fun, laid back 4th of July this year. We went to church in the morning, then Malo's parents came down and we grilled up some steaks for lunch and they stayed for the day. We just played outside all day. Then when it started to get dark, we took the girls out to the front yard and lit off the few fireworks Malo picked up and we watched neighbors' fireworks. Aspen and Mia thought the sparklers were really fun. They were really cute with them! :) Such sweet girls. Isaac slept through all the fireworks. Here are a couple pictures (as you can see, my children change their clothes multiple times during the day. Every day.)










And Isaac turned 4 months yesterday. I love this little boy so much. He is sweet and mellow and smiles so easily and often. Everyone should know my little boy. You'll be better off for it, trust me! :) Anyway, at his well baby check yesterday, he weighed 17lbs, 2 oz and is 25 1/4 inches long. He's getting big fast! He definitely knows how to grow. He is just such a joy, he's my little snuggle bug. :)
